Hey Blossoms,
Who said neutral looking makeup had to be boring. There are a few simple steps one can take to bring the sexy back to the neutral makeup look.
STEP ONE:
BROWS!!!!
You all remember my post on the 2 brow pencils that I use mostly (MAC Spiked & Maybelline Define a Brow) and how they aid in filling in my sparse looking brows. You all wouldn't believe how fine my brow hairs are it literally looks as if there is nothing there. That's why I love filling them in it helps to bring more definition and expression to my face. In any look having more sculpted, defined and even highlighted brows can change your look from extra ordinary to extraordinary! A neutral makeup look is no different be sure to clearly define your arch and highlight just beneath your brow bone to bring a really sexy look back to your eyes.
STEP TWO
FLAWLESS WITH A TOUCH OF BLUSH & HIGHLIGHT
Make sure that your foundation application leaves you with a flawless face. Remember the point is to look as natural as possible. So don't cake the foundation or powder on. Conceal, buff in foundation where necessary and lightly powder your face. Be sure to highlight the high planes of your face and add a touch of blush to your cheeks, temples, jawline to really bring back the natural look of how your face blushes.
STEP THREE
KICK OUT NUDE FOR RED!
Yes I know the point is to look neutral! Who said you cant be neutral with RED LIPS! Rules are meant to be broken so break them!!! I karate kicked my nude lipstick away for a true red lip! MATTE RED LIP!
STEP FOUR
SMILE!!!
Nothing makes you look more naturally like yourself than smiling. Your face is less tense and its scientifically proven that smiling/laughing relieves stress and makes you feel happier. A happier you is a younger, glowing more beautiful you!
