 What you will need:
A light blue eyeshadow. You can also use a teal and even a turquoise color. (Your choice)
A medium purple eyeshadow color.
A dark purple plummy eyeshadow color.
A slightly shimmery vanilla color. (You can also use white.)
A violet eyeliner. (You can also use an eyeshadow as a liner, just make sure you moisten the brush with some water first.)
Instructions
1. Apply a light blue eyeshadow all over the lid, but make sure you stop right before the crease.
2. Apply a medium purple eyeshadow color on the crease, but stop once you reach the brow bone.

***Tip-You should never bring up the color all the way to your eyebrows, this space is best reserved for a highlighter to brighten your eyes.***

3. Apply the dark plummy color concentrating on the outer corner and slowly bring it in to meet the blue color. Try to create a V shape. This might take some practice, but once you get the hang of it, it will be super easy to do.
4. Apply the highlighting shade (the vanilla) on the brow bone and on the inner corners of the eye.
5. Now this step is important- Make sure you blend everything using a fluffy brush. How? Use a windshield wiper motion all over your eyelids. This assures that there are no harsh lines and that everything looks soft and flawless.
6. Apply the violet eyeliner on your top and bottom lash lines. Make sure you don't make the line too thick.
Apply your mascara and you are ready for a fun night out!

As for the lipstick- Keep it as close to your natural lip color as possible so that it compliments your bright eyeshadow.

I hope you can recreate this look at home. I would love to see it, so send me the pictures and I will feature you on the blog.

Have fun,
Jaday

Green Envy

Green is a fantastic color for those with Reddish-Brown eyes and also Hazel eyes. Since green is a complementary color to red on the color wheel, it really brings out the warmth in the eye color.

Tips:
When wearing a bright color on your eyes, make sure that you avoid any shimmer on your brow bone, use a matte highlight instead.
NEVER bring the color all the way to your brows, this is too dramatic and it is best reserved for stage makeup.
Make sure you blend out the eyeliner to create a smokey effect and so there are no harsh lines.
Keep the rest of your face subtle so that all the attention will be on your eyes.
The best lipstick colors that complement  green eyeshadow are: pinks, nudes, and peachy tones.
Most importantly, Have fun! Makeup is supposed to be an art form, if you make a mistake, just remove it and start over!
I hope these tips will help you create your own version of this look. :)

Glam Look- 1950s Classic Look

This is one of my go to looks for special occasions. I love 1950's style makeup. The winged eye paired with red Lips is something that never goes out of style.
Yes, you too can wear red lipstick! Everyone can, you just need to find the right shade for you.
I custom made this shade using my Makeup Forever Flash Color Case. I mixed several shades together with the bright red in order to create a color that would compliment my skin tone.

For those of you trying this look at home, you can just purchase a few different inexpensive red lipsticks and mix them together until you find a shade that makes your skin stand out. It's all about trial and error.

Tips:
I like to start by exfoliating my lips. How? Apply a thick lip balm and scrub your lips with a moistened washcloth.
Then I like to apply a red lip stain, in this case i used Lorac Sheer Wash in the shade Sheer Luck. This assures you that even if your lipstick fades, your lips will remain red.
I then follow up by fully lining my lips with a red lip liner. (Note: This is the only instance were you actually want to wear a dark lip liner, any other time, just stick with a flesh tone lip liner.)
Go on an fill in your lips with you customized color, then blot and reapply.
Apply a sheer lip gloss to just the center of your mouth to make you lips appear larger.
When wearing bright red lipstick, try to avoid wearing any bright shades on your eyes. You do not want your makeup to clash or look clownish.
Have fun!

All the makeup was done with airbrush and some Pigments. The fake lashes are the Ardell Hotties, they really enhance the look. As always, no retouching, just makeup. ;)
