Guest look #2

Blog reader Eleni tried another one of the looks featured in the blog. This time she went for the "Earth Tones with a twist" look. She said she loved the look so much that she tried it the very next day. She wore it to her Belly Dance class and received lots of compliments. I think she did a great job!

Remember you too can try to replicate any of the makeup looks and send me the pictures so that I will feature you on the blog.

I've got the Blues :)

Royal blue is such a fun color to wear! Blue brightens the whites of your eyes and distracts from any redness you might have on your face. Scroll down to view the products I used so that you can recreate this look.

Mini Review:
I have to say I was a bit skeptical before purchasing this palette, because I don't usually like celebrity endorsed products, but the quality of the eyeshadow is superb. The shadows are highly pigmented and they are a bit creamy so they go on really smoothly. I like them better than the Urban Decay eyeshadow. Highly recommend it!

Don't worry, you don't have to purchase those specific products to get this look. You can just use any 3 different blue eye shadows that you have. Use your own foundation and blush, buy an inexpensive blue mascara and a pink lip-gloss and you are ready to go.

Earth Tones with a Twist

This is a casual look that was taken up a notch by adding glitter to the lower lash line. I guess I have a glitter liner obsession at the moment. Glitter is just so much fun!

I applied earth tone eye shadows -golds, browns, bronzes, and beige- creating a warm natural eye, then I added the glitter liner under the lash line creating a fun and flirty look. The rest of the face was kept natural and bronzed to go with the look.I think this is a great look to wear as the weather gets warmer.

GC Wedding...Mother of the Bride

For this look, I took my inspiration from the beautiful champagne color dress. The client wanted to emphasize the eyes with a sexy smokey eye. False lashes added the final touch of drama.

Silver, Plum, and Gray look

I created this look using mostly NYX products. I love the NYX brand, it is inexpensive and the quality is comparable to the more expensive brands. I highly recommend it. All of the products used from NYX were less than $6 each. You can't beat that price and such good quality!

Instructions:

1. Apply a silver eye shadow ( I used MAC silver ring) to the inner corners of the eyes going all the way to the middle of the lid.
2. Using a flat synthetic brush apply a plum grayish eye shadow to the other half of the lid blending it in to the silver. (I used the NYX chrome pigment in the color Beanie.)
3. Using a crease brush apply a gray matte eye shadow along the crease of the eye. (I used NYX Slate.)
4. Apply a dark deep plum eye shadow to the outer corner of the crease creating a V shape. (I used NYX Beauty Queen.)
5. Line your upper lash line with an eggplant colored pencil (In this case i used Urban Decay 24/7 pencil in the shade Rockstar.)
6. Line your waterline with a black eyeliner.
7. Using a glitter liquid eyeliner look up and line the bottom of your lower lash line making sure to extend it upwards at the outer corner to create a winged eye. (I used the NYX Glitter liner in the shade Disco Queen.)
Apply mascara and you are ready to go!

For the lips I used the NYX lipstick strawberry milk with Benefit Kiss Me lip gloss on top.

I hope you have fun trying on your own version of this look.
