Dainty Bollywood Blossom

For this look I was inspired by a Bollywood choreography I am learning on GypsyNet.  I did a pink and purple combo with a small hint of gold on my lower lash line. I glued crystals on my eyes, forehead, ears and nose for added character.

Ancient Ruins...Relic Eyes

Last night I was transported to a beautiful mysterious land as I listen to my new collection of World music. The album is called Garden of Eden by Mosavo. My three favorite pieces of the album are The Enchanting Harp, Black Tulip and Misirlou. The flute, drums, and harp takes you on a beautiful musical journey. During that voyage, I was inspired to create this elaborate Middle Eastern look.

GypsyNet members, Raqs sharqi, and Raqs baladi fans what's great about Middle Eastern adornment is there's no wrong way in doing it. Look at your favorite dancers and get inspired by how they do their makeup/costumes and add your own twist to it. The dots around my eyes were inspired by BDSS Ansuya. Remember this is an art, feel free... feel inspired...and let the music move your makeup brush.

"Habibi Ya Nour El-Ain"

Translation: "My darling, you are the glow in my eyes"

Here is another Arabic inspired look for all the blog readers that have emailed us requesting more!  I only used Naked pigments for this look and added water for a more dramatic effect.

To create an Arabic look like this at home, you must invest in makeup brushes.  A few of the brushes I used are: Bent Liner, Small Chisel Brush , Angle Liner, Eyelash Definer, and a Chisel Mini Smudger. The smaller the brush is the more precision you will have to create a smokey effect, dramatic wings, and face art.

Instructions:
1.       To create this look at home I began by priming my eyes with Urban Decay eye potion, to ensure a long lasting look!
2.       For my base color, I used Half Baked from UD a shimmery gold eye shadow. I patted this color down using a flat brush throughout my eye.
3.       I continued with the crease of my eye, I used a smudge brush to apply glittery brown eye shadow called Twice Baked from UD. Remember blending is important!!
4.       For the inner corner of my eye, I used my favorite eye shadow called Sell Out from the fabulous Urban Decay Vol 2 palette.
5.       As for my brow bone, I used UD Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, please be aware that you will need to clean your face before applying your foundation because these shadows have a lot of glitter!!
6.       I used my Coastal Scent Metal Mania palette to apply a few different gold tones on my eye lid. (Just to give it more dimension)
7.       For my lower lash line, I applied with an angle brush a light gold eye shadow from my CS palette. This brightens up the eye and helps those who have droopy eyes too.   I lined my upper lash line with a soft black liner and applied Make-Up Forever Smokey Eye mascara.
8.       Moving on to face, I primed my face with Make-up Forever HD primer and used Eve Pearls duo foundation.
9.   For cheeks I used Nars Orgasm and Benefit duo bronzer
10.   For lips I used Nars Cruela DeVil lip stick
